Released in 2003, Essence by Marc Jacobs is white floral, powdery, floral perfume with amber undertones. It opens with bergamot, freesia and spices, transitions through heart notes of gardenia, iris, orange blossom and turkish rose, and settles into a warm base of benzoin, musk, sandalwood and tolu balsam.
